Heritage Dermatology is led by Dr. Cassandra Beard, who is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. She provides the full spectrum of medical dermatologic care for men, women, adolescents, and children of the Lowcountry and is widely regarded for her expertise in both cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Her advanced surgical skillset, combined with an appreciation for art and aesthetics, guides her approach to patient care. She is particularly skilled in optimizing cosmetic outcomes following skin cancer surgeries and leveraging her deep knowledge of facial anatomy to achieve natural, refined results in cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Beard is from Jefferson City, Missouri, and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She then went on to receive her medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, where she concurrently completed a master’s degree in public health. Following her internship at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, FL, she completed her dermatology residency training in Jacksonville, FL, where she also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Beard is an active fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and holds memberships with the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Beard enjoys life in Bluffton with her husband, Dr. Evan Wolff, and their two Golden Retrievers, Champagne and Mimosa. She loves experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new baking recipes, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
